Workspace ONE Launcher for Android 24.02

  • Unpair Bluetooth Devices on Check-in
    • In our ongoing commitment to enhance the Shared Device experience, we are pleased to introduce a new feature aimed at improving the segregation of peripherals, such as Bluetooth keyboards and headsets, on Shared Devices. With this update, once configured, peripherals connected during a shared device session will automatically unpair when the device is checked in. This ensures that the next user will enjoy a completely fresh session, providing them with the opportunity to seamlessly connect their own peripherals
  • Control Device Brightness
    • We recognize that device brightness is a subjective choice for users. Nevertheless, administrators may find it necessary to periodically reset the recommended brightness, particularly in shared devices. With our latest update, administrators can now configure a feature that enables them to set a preferred brightness level. This setting will be automatically applied each time the device receives the configuration, ensuring consistent brightness across shared devices as per the administrator's choice
  • Launcher UI String customization
    • In our ongoing commitment to enhance Launcher customization, we're pleased to announce a new feature that empowers administrators to customize the error text displayed when unauthorized access to the Launcher canvas is attempted. This enhancement provides greater flexibility for tailoring user experience and ensuring a seamless and personalized interface
  • Latest Intel SDK Upgraded
    • In this release of Launcher, we have incorporated the most recent version of the intelligence SDK, bringing significant enhancements to logging and data capture. Notably, this update ensures more accurate tracking when the device is shaken and when there are network changes, including transitions between 4G and 5G connections. These improvements contribute to a more robust and responsive user experience.

Workspace ONE Assist support on Android devices running OS 11 (Feb 2023 Updates and above) (96650)

  • Workspace One Assist utilizes Android APIs to enable remote management capabilities across all Android devices. However, we have recently encountered challenges specifically related to capturing and streaming lock screens during active session, resulting in the Workspace One Assist console displaying a black screen.

Windows LTSC 2019 is stuck in "Whoops, we've encountered some rough air." on Intelligent Hub 23.10 and later (96139)

  • Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 23.10 and later will not load the Intelligent Hub application on Windows 10 LTSC 2019.
The application will hang on the "Whoops, we've encountered some rough air." page and will not load any additional information.
  • This issue is caused by the backend changes of Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 23.10 and the missing framework on Windows 10 LTSC 2019.

Script keeps sending samples after unassigned or removed on VMware Workspace ONE UEM 22.12 (94957)

  • The console keeps reporting samples of scripts from Windows devices after the scripts have been unassigned or removed from the devices
  • Once unassigned from entitlement, the scripts stop running on the devices, however, samples will keep being sent to the console from the last execution

iOS 17 - Workspace ONE Web 24.02 is not able to register user agent in user defaults (96607)

  • Web page that has dependency on navigator.UserAgent JS callback with VMware Tunnel and Tunnel Proxy (already EOL) may not load properly in Workspace ONE Web 24.02+.
  • With Xcode 15 and iOS 17+ devices, UIWebview is not correctly responding to navigator. UserAgent JS callback because it’s not able to register user agent in user defaults. Issue has been reported to Apple - https://feedbackassistant.apple.com/feedback/13162427

Intermittent machines do not provision with Post-Customization Script Delays with Horizon 8.6 and earlier. (92592)

  • With a  Post-Customization Script enabled, machines intermittently fail to complete customization
  • Reviewing Agent debug logging, you see failures related to the script.

Instant Clone Duplicate functionality does not extend to Compute Profiles with # of CPU, RAM and Cores Per Socket (92888)

  • Instant Clone provisioned machines are not configured with the Compute Profile values - # of CPU, RAM and Cores Per Socket while duplicating an Instant Clone pool.
    Scenario #1:
Duplicate an existing Pool or duplicate from a particular snapshot: The existing Instant Clone pool with all # of CPU, RAM and Cores Per Socket values do not carry over to the duplicate wizard correctly with the Cores Per Socket value incorrect. These Values  (# of CPU, RAM and Cores Per Socket) do not reach clones.
    Scenario #2:
An Immediate duplication of a freshly created pool results in all the # of CPU, RAM and Cores Per Socket values not reflecting the original pool. These Values  (# of CPU, RAM and Cores Per Socket) do not reach clones.
