Release Updates Week 41-24:
Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 24.09 for Android (staged)
- Enhanced Log Upload to Workspace ONE UEM: Android Hub will now upload all logs as a single file to Workspace ONE UEM. This means administrators can now more easily collect and analyze bug reports from Work Managed Android devices by using the Request Device Logs action. It also makes Hub and other log types easier to read. Requires Workspace ONE UEM 2310.
- Disable Factory Reset Protection on corporate-owned devices. Organizations can now disable factory reset protection on corporate-owned devices using a Custom Settings profile. With this profile, if end users add a personal Google account to the device and said device is factory reset from the bootloader, factory reset protection will not take effect. Organizations will not have to authenticate with the personal Google account in order to set up and re-enroll. For information on how to configure the Custom Settings profile, see Android Profiles Overview.
- Support for Workspace ONE Mobile Threat Defense Configuration by Smart Groups: Administrators can now configure Workspace ONE Mobile Threat Defense (MTD) using smart groups in Workspace ONE UEM and prioritize Workspace ONE MTD assignments such that devices receive the highest ranking assignment and Workspace ONE MTD policies. Requires Workspace ONE UEM 2406 minimum version and modern architecture services.

The Tunnel client will instead check in with UEM every 4 hours and on service start.

[ARES-29486] Enhanced Android Hub Log Upload not Working (6000219)
- With the release of Intelligent Hub 24.09 and Workspace ONE UEM 2310, the process of uploading logs from Android devices to the Workspace ONE UEM Console has been improved. Historically, logs were divided into multiple smaller files, which administrators had to manually piece together. Now, logs are collected and stored as a single file, regardless of size. This enhancement eliminates the inconvenience of managing multiple log files, especially for larger logs, such as bug reports.
- However, on certain versions of Workspace ONE UEM, this enhancement may fail, reverting back to the older method of splitting logs into multiple files.
- When enabling Mod Stack in 24.06 (patch 5 or lower), macOS profile removal is blocked by Workspace ONE UEM. We have identified an issue where unmanaged macOS profiles are being removed involuntary in environments where Mod Stack has been enabled.
EULA prompted in SSP portal unenrolls devices when declined (6000216)
- Workspace ONE UEM enrollment settings offer a way to enable an Enrollment Terms of Use (EULA), specific to enrollment purposes. Admins can also ‘Require Enrollment Terms of Use Acceptance.” Not only can users get prompted the EULA upon enrollment on their device, but they can also be prompted the EULA when logging into the Self-Service Portal (SSP).
- If a user has a role that enable them access to the SSP portal, they may be prompted the EULA upon login. If a user ‘Declines’ the EULA when prompted in the SSP portal, this triggers all devices enrolled and assigned to the user to be automatically enterprise wiped to become unenrolled.
- This is especially important for users with numerous devices assigned to one user, such as multi-staging users, as all the devices can be unenrolled in an instance if the EULA is declined in the SSP portal.
Capturing new teams as a package in App Volumes 4.x (6000003)
- The new Teams uses MSIX packages therefore it is not possible to capture in app volumes using the standard procedure of capturing a package. Using the app volumes tools, the new teams can be captured as a package in App Volumes.
