We are thrilled to be in Las Vegas for another edition of VMware Explore! Today, we have a range of end-user computing (EUC) announcements and blogs covering our latest innovations in VMware Anywhere Workspace — our platform comprising solutions for virtual apps and desktops, unified endpoint management and security, and digital employee experience. - What’s new with digital employee experience: Announcements from VMware Explore 2023 Las Vegas
To further advance its DEX technology, VMware today announces the general availability of an expanded collection of insights based on new data sources and further enhancements to DEX remediation capabilities with new playbooks. These updates enable organizations to “shift left,” becoming more proactive with expanded anomaly detection as well as operationally efficient with tools to effectively fix more issues, faster. The VMware Workspace ONE DEX solution now supports broader data capture that empowers IT teams with holistic visibility across their end-user computing (EUC) environment. We are excited to announce today that we have released an expanded set of out-of-the-box insights across more data sources, with an underlying re-architecture that enables measurement on dynamic thresholds while also accounting for seasonality. - Announcing the public preview of VMware Horizon with Microsoft Windows 365
To ensure our VMware Horizon customers have the most flexible deployment options, we have partnered with Microsoft to offer a new value-added solution that augments Windows 365 with Horizon. Last year at VMware Explore Europe, VMware announced our collaboration efforts with Microsoft to extend Windows 365 with Horizon. We are pleased to announce the solution is now available in public preview. Sign up for the public preview to experience the solution firsthand. - Unifying app management across persistent, non-persistent, and multi-cloud VDI with VMware Apps Everywhere
In VMware Horizon environments with non-persistent desktops, App Volumes can be combined with instant clones and Dynamic Environment Manager so that desktops can be provisioned in seconds, apps can be attached to desktops in real time, and profile and policy configurations can be deployed to user sessions to give users a persistent desktop experience in a snap. We also have many customers who have deployed Horizon with persistent desktops. So now we are excited to host an upcoming beta for App Volumes for persistent virtual desktops, targeted within the next three months. - Better secure the hybrid workforce from chip to cloud with Intel and VMware
We are excited to share the latest advancement of the endpoint management partnership between Intel vPro® and VMware Workspace ONE, delivering chip-to-cloud PC management capabilities. The newly updated integration will alleviate server requirements, delivering streamlined setup and cloud-native out-of-band management with Workspace ONE. - VMware Explore 2023 Las Vegas | Day 1 Recap

Standalone enrollment supports Full Device Tunnel mode with Per-App mode planned for future release. There is no requirement for Workspace MDM enrollment or HUB on the device. Basic and SAML authentication is supported for user enrollment. This client version supports both MDM and Standalone workflows. Administrators may create new Full Device DTR or use existing Full Device DTR. For Standalone enrollment, Tunnel profiles are configured on the Tunnel configuration page

Workspace ONE Hub Services August 2023 - Limit Devices in Staging Accounts from Viewing Other Devices
For devices that are enrolled in a staging account, the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub app’s Support tab will no longer list all devices enrolled in that staging account. Instead, the Support tab will only reflect the current device to prevent any malicious user(s) from taking action on all the other managed devices shown on the Support tab for that account. Note: This requires Workspace ONE UEM version 23.06 or later. - Quick Actions on the Support Tab (Tech Preview)
From the Hub Services console, admins can now place on-demand Freestyle Workflows in the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub Support tab, enabling users to discover and use remediation workflows such as the following examples. - Fix my Wi-Fi to reinstall Wi-Fi profiles
- Fix my VPN to reinstall VPN profile and VPN App
- Clean my hard drive to run a script to delete temp folders
This helps IT and Service Desk to utilize Quick Actions as an effective method for ticket deflection to reduce their ticket volume.
- Announcing General Availability of Mobile SSO for Apple devices
We are excited to announce the general availability of Mobile SSO for Apple devices - the next generation Mobile SSO feature in Workspace ONE Access. As part of the iOS 13 SDK and MDM spec, Apple introduced a new cross-platform SSO extension that offered a native SSO approach using standard federation protocols. Mobile SSO for Apple devices in Workspace ONE Access leverages this native SSO Extension SDK in Apple. In addition to providing seamless SSO across iOS and iPadOS devices, Mobile SSO for Apple in Workspace ONE Access offers configurable biometric authentication that allows using the platform's built-in biometric authenticators such as TouchID, FaceID or Passcode for additional authentications before accessing applications. Mobile SSO for Apple features the ability to limit Single Sign-On to selected apps. The solution uses certificate based authentication to Workspace ONE Access and supports Workspace ONE Shared iOS devices Check-In Check-Out use cases. Further, the solution removes the Check-in Check-Out session stickiness issues present in the existing iOS Mobile SSO solution. https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/86375 NOTE: Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub must be installed in the devices participating in SSO. Mobile SSO for Apple is a replacement for Mobile SSO for iOS that's available with Workspace ONE Access today. Both solutions can however co-exist as part of migration configuration. A gradual migration from Mobile SSO for iOS to Mobile SSO for Apple is recommended. This feature is available only in the Workspace ONE Access Cloud environment.
