- Workspace ONE XR Hub is a companion to Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub that provides an enterprise experience and cross-platform native launcher for Virtual Reality (VR) devices.
- XR Hub provides secure and simple access to corporate applications and content on a wide variety of Android-based, stand-alone VR devices.
- XR Hub works with Workspace ONE UEM to provide secure access to native VR, remote VR, WebXR, Web, SaaS and VDI applications and shared device check-in/check-out functionality.

- Pool Groups
- You now have the option to use non-occupancy based power management.
Non-occupancy based power management optimizes power consumption by powering on or powering off VMs based on a set "Unused VMs" threshold. An Unused VM is a virtual machine which is provisioned but does not have a user logged in. The system looks at the number of unused VMs in that pool group that are powered on relative to the total number of VMs provisioned in that pool group to determine whether some VMs should be powered ON or OFF.
- Help Desk
- Help Desk is now enabled for the Horizon Universal Console for Horizon 8 and native cloud hybrid deployments.
- Horizon Accelerator
- For Horizon Cloud Service -next-gen customers with the VMware Horizon Accelerator add-on license, a new feature is available that provides operation insights related to the provider, such as Microsoft Azure, to optimize deployed resources for Horizon 8.
- Horizon Edge
- Improved Horizon 8 Edge Gateway troubleshooting is now available through a diagnostic script.
- Horizon Universal Subscription License
- You can now generate and view perpetual keys within the Horizon Universal Console if your subscription includes a license to use VMware products such as vSphere, vSAN, vCenter, App Volumes Enterprise, ThinApp Client, ThinApp Virtual Packager and Workstation Pro.
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- True SSO
- True SSO is now available in addition to the existing VMware CA and allows the use of a Microsoft CA for single sign-on. Multi-forest support is not yet available when using True SSO.
- Machine Identity
- You can now use Azure Active Directory when you perform an App Capture with a capture machine.
- User Card & Search
- Identity Provider configuration has been added as an optional step to the Get Started page for Horizon 8 Edges to connect an identity provider to enable Horizon Cloud user cards and user search.

Updated: Upcoming changes to APNs for Applications for On-Premises Workspace ONE UEM (91116) - Workspace ONE Productivity apps on iOS receive push notifications using APNs through Workspace ONE UEM. The certificates necessary to deliver these notifications need to be renewed every year that requires administrators of On-Premises environments to run a database script provided by VMware, before the expiry to avoid any disruption

4) Workspace ONE Web 'Directory.ReadWrite.All' permission Update for AirWatch By VMware app on Azure portal (92325) - In April 2022 VMware removed the "Directory.ReadWrite.All" permission from the AirWatch by VMware app on Azure Portal - Link.This was removed as it was not a required permission for the controls and API calls that were integrated with Workspace ONE UEM.
- As VMware continues to add additional features, functionality, and maintain compliance with the Microsoft best practices there is a need to re-add the "Directory.ReadWrite.All" permission back to the AirWatch by VMware App on the Azure Portal. This permission will be needed by the following configurations and will be enabled for both Microsoft Graph and Windows AAD:
- Existing implementation of "InvalidateAllRefreshTokens"
- Migration to RevokeSigninSessions Microsoft Graph API from the previous "InvalidateAllRefreshTokens" Azure Graph API per MSFT best practices.
- Update: VMware will add this permission on of May 31, 2023. Please log in to the Azure AD enterprise application catalog and update the permissions in the early afternoon of May 31, 2023 GMT. Instructions can be found in the resolution section of this article.
High Priority KBs - VMware Workspace ONE UEM New Control Plane SaaS Deployment Schedule (86243)
Workspace ONE UEM has undergone a complete re-architecture to modernize the platform using microservices and containers to enable increased scalability and performance and increase the rate of innovation. Now after having conducted significant and careful testing, these architecture updates, including a new control plane, will be deployed to UEM SaaS environments over the next several weeks, with options available to on-premise customers after this roll-out (Later in 2022). - Support Access Policies for Customers with Expired SaaS EUC Licenses (89494)
In alignment with VMware's Corporate Standards and those of the industry as a whole, VMware customers who have purchased SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) licenses for EUC (End-User Computing) products can expect the behavior outlined in the KB regarding Support access when their subscription has a status of Active Pending Cancellation or Expired/Cancelled.
