KB Highlights & Announcements Week 32-24:
Workspace ONE UEM – XSS Protections (6000134)
- In today's digital landscape, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks remain a significant threat to web applications, targeting vulnerabilities that allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts into trusted websites. These attacks can lead to data breaches, session hijacking, and the compromise of user credentials, making them a critical concern for both users and businesses. As cyber threats continue to evolve, Workspace ONE UEM continues to ensure robust protections against XSS. Below we will discuss all of the protections that are in place for Workspace ONE UEM and how those features and processes help ensure that Workspace ONE UEM maintains its integrity as a trusted and secure platform in the face of increasingly hostile online environments.
- How is Workspace ONE UEM protecting your environments?
- Attempting to view the deployment progress of an internal application at the app bundle identifier level (i.e. summary of different versions of an internal application) by clicking on the internal app name in Resources > Native > Internal from the Workspace ONE UEM console fails to launch and displays a spaceman error.
Versions Impacted
- Workspace ONE UEM 24.2.0.10
- Workspace ONE UEM 24.2.0.11
Omnissa Horizon View Best Practices (1020305)
- Follow these best practices when using VMware View:
- Horizon View Best Practices : Parent Image Creation and Maintenance(90152) for guidance on Image Creation,
- Follow the best practices for Anti-Virus deployment. For more information, see Antivirus executable exclusion list for VMware Horizon (2082045) For a full overview of considerations with Anti-Virus and Horizon, please see our TechZone Whitepaper on the topic: Antivirus Considerations in a VMware Horizon Environment
- If you are planning to use Horizon with Zero or ThinClients, ensure that the model is hardware compatible:Factors that delay Zero Client and Thin Client Issue Resolution
- Once Global/Local Entitlements are created with Users/Groups, ensure not to move users/groups between different OUs in AD. Without removing users/groups from Global/Local Entitlements, if we remove users/groups directly in AD, you might see issues related to dashboard errors while accessing Global Entitlements, while removing users/groups from the existing entitlement list.
