Weekly highlight:
VMware Explore 2022 Europe EUC Recap:
The VMware Explore Europe event brought even more announcements to the EUC space not seen at the San Fran event. We introduced what we at VMware are calling North Star of Autonomous Workspaces. This can be broken down into three central pieces
- Unify
- Unifying management across all endpoints and a single place to access apps for users
- Automate
- Reduce the amount of repetitive manual tasks and increase efficiency
- Autonomous Workspaces
- Configuring desired state and isolating issues with context aware insights
What are these autonomous workspaces though? We have 1) automation which is like when an application crashes and the system creates a ticket for IT to troubleshoot. Then we have 2) a truly autonomous workspace where the system recognizes the issue that led to the previous crashes or a similar issue and takes remediation automatically. You can’t get this autonomous workspace without 1) having a desired state for self-configuring, 2) self-healing through incident detection and remediation, and 3) self-securing with vulnerability and compliance detection/remediation.
With those things in mind here are the key announcements from VMware Explore Europe :
